Recorded Feist at Yoshi’s in Oakland. A great room and a really amazing band, it was a lovely afternoon concert sponsored by KFOG for their listeners. The band also played two sold out shows at the Fillmore the following evening.

Recording Academy Board of Governors Induction

2007-06-22Grammy

This week, I was inducted into the Board of Governors for the San Francisco chapter of the Recording Academy.

Although the Academy is mostly known for the Grammy Awards, much of the Academy’s focus is on advocacy for musicians and writers, preservation of historic recordings and community outreach for musicians in need among other things. To learn more about the Academy and all that they do for musicians and the community at large, check out Grammy.com.

Thanks to everyone who voted for me. I”m looking forward to serving the music community of San Francisco

Tape Op Conference Panelist “Mobile Recording” – Tucson, Arizona

2007-06-10MCHorseTucson

Had a great time in Tucson at the Tape Op Conference. Thanks to Bob Weston for organizing the panel and to everybody that came out. It was fun and I’m looking forward to coming back next year.

Jessica and I rode horses up in the mountains outside Tucson at sunset (twice, even!) and spent a nice time relaxing while I also got to spend some quality time geeking out about recording things.
